Carlton Mansions, the Victorian building next to the new theatre, will be restored and refurbished by Lambeth Council to house 26 workspace units offered at affordable rents to the arts and creative industries. Nuclear Dawn, the historic mural on the side of the building, will be fully restored. There will be direct access between the theatre and Carlton Mansions so that resident organisations can benefit from the spaces and resources of Brixton House.
Two floors of the new Brixton House will also house larger commercial spaces, rented out by Brixton House on behalf of Lambeth, establishing Brixton House as a vital new creative hub for London.
